Treasure hunt / investigation
Description

A few weeks ago, a routine inventory of the Library's reserves revealed an ancient Egyptian box, sealed for decades and never officially catalogued.
Donated in 1971 by a certain Colonel Lauer, the box is believed to have been discovered around 1860 under the auspices of the Egyptian Antiquities Service. Lauer left a chilling warning: never open it, citing the possible presence of ricin and arsenic.
The recent discovery of this box in the Library's reserves aroused the curiosity of the director, who had the seal broken to reveal its contents: an ancient and mysterious funerary statuette.
Since then, events have been unfolding rapidly: strange incidents, unexplained phenomena, general unease... until this tragic drama: the director of the Library is found dead, in circumstances that no one can explain. Some speak of a curse, others of fraud or even manipulation.
If it is indeed a curse, then only a ritual could appease what seems to have been awakened.
Will you be able to discover the truth and resolve this perilous situation?
Immerse yourself in an evening where history, the occult and secrets intertwine at the very heart of the Humanist Library.
A new scenario imagined by Comptoir du Crime.
