Description
The Heinrich Schütz Kantorei of Freiburg im Breisgau, conducted by Cornelius Leenen, will perform the *Missa Sancti Spiritus* by the Bohemian composer Jan Dismas Zelenka (1679–1745), whose passionate style strikes a balance between tradition and innovation. This work will be paired with Johann Sebastian Bach’s (1685–1750) Ascension Oratorio BWV 11, a pinnacle of spiritual elevation.
