Spanning the River Rhine, just a stone's throw from Strasbourg, this garden symbolises the perfect friendship between France and Germany.
Throughout the year, this huge, cross-border garden is home to cultural events including concerts, circus performances..., enjoyed to the full by French, German and other visitors.
A boldly styled footbridge by architect Marc Mimram links both banks of the Rhine. It offers the walkers and cyclists who travel across it one of the most "international" of journeys.
As a symbol of friendship between France and Germany, the bridge played host to the heads of states during the NATO summit meeting of April 2009.
