Exhibition ZOOM Faces and works from the Würth Collection
Description

While the works of Jean Arp and Georg Baselitz are familiar to the Musée Würth in Erstein, their faces are often unknown to the public. ZOOM. Faces and Works from the Würth Collection brings together over one hundred photographs of great names from the European and American art scenes of the 20th century - including Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Andy Warhol and David Hockney - and presents them alongside their works. The exhibition invites us to rediscover these artists in the double posture of model and creator. As you follow the exhibition itinerary, this device takes you even further.
Major photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sabine Weiss, Lee Miller and Arnold Newman captured the gaze and energy of their peers in portraits that also revealed their own sensibilities. The exhibition invites us to enter into a dialogue between artist and artist, creator and photographer, a moment sometimes captured in the intimacy of the studio.
