Situated in the heart of the Erstein Polder, the nature reserve, criss-crossed by numerous streams (or "Giessen"), protects a hardwood forest that has been left to develop freely since 1989. It is home to numerous species of tree, some of them remarkably large, imposing lianas and an incomparable density of forest birds!
Come and discover the inhabitants of the Erstein Forest Nature Reserve through tales and legends for young and old. From the origin of mosquitoes to the peculiarities of oak trees and the Hockemann, you'll never look at this place in the same way again.
