Festival d'O - Laterna Magica - Théo Ould - accordion

Laterna Magica, playing on the metaphor of the magic lantern: the forerunner of the cinema, which in the late 17th century projected painted images onto glass plates by the light of oil lamps or candles.
It's a musical ballad through the centuries, from the Baroque era to the present day, from the elegant nostalgia of the French Baroque with the Gavotte from Jean-Philippe Rameau's Suite in A to the energetic Laterna Magica, a composition by Régis Campo (recent winner of the Victoires de la Musique Classique awards) which gave its name to the program.
