Adrien Dufourquet, a young soldier on leave, watches helplessly as his fiancée Agnès Villermosa is abducted by two strangers. At the same time, a priceless Brazilian statuette is stolen from the Musée de l'Homme. Without a second's thought, Adrien sets off in pursuit of his beloved's kidnappers, clandestinely boarding a plane bound for Rio de Janeiro.
