Movies - Amadeus

As part of Mozart Year, an initiative launched by the Obernai School of Music, the 13e sens - Scène & Ciné cinema is screening the film *Amadeus*, which tells the story of Mozart’s life.
*Amadeus* is an American film directed by Miloš Forman, released in 1984 and re-released in 2002 in an extended version that is twenty minutes longer. The story is loosely based on a short play by Pushkin, *Mozart and Salieri* (1830).

The film was nominated for 53 awards and won 40, including eight Oscars (including Best Picture), four British Academy Film Awards, four Golden Globes, one César, and one DGA Award. In 1998, the American Film Institute ranked *Amadeus* 53rd on its list of the top 100 films.
