Biennale de la mosaïque - 11th edition

The town of Obernai hosts the 11th edition of its Biennale de la Mosaïque, with an exhibition to be discovered in two emblematic locations: the Salle Sainte-Odile (Cour Athic) and the Salle du Beffroi.
This new edition promises an exciting artistic journey, between homage, contemporary creation and singular universes.

In the Salle Sainte-Odile, the powerful work of Gérard Brand, Artistic Director of the Biennial, will be on display for the first time in its entirety: a series of 27 mosaics - including 26 tributes to international artists and a vibrant self-portrait. Smaller-format pieces will enrich the exhibition, accompanied by a work by Jean-Marie Burton, as a prelude to his own exhibition.

For it is at the Salle du Beffroi that Jean-Marie Burton, Guest of Honor 2025, invites us to plunge into his world. From his studio Le Guetteur de Tesselles, near Chartres Cathedral, he fashions a poetic, contemporary and committed mosaic.
