Discover the charms of Fleckenstein castle, built in the 12th century as an impregnable fortress. It held out for four centuries before being destroyed by French troops in 1689. With the combined ticket, take the opportunity to step back in time and discover the lime kiln. Guardian of the Sauer valley, the Four à Chaux (Lime Kiln) stands on a hill overlooking the village of Lembach. It is named after an ancient lime kiln. The 3km of galleries run 30m underground. Twenty-four officers and 600 men lived there.
