Medieval storytelling tour of Birkenfels castle

Since ancient times, the history of vines and hops has been closely linked to that of castles. Alsace Destination Tourisme and its partners are offering a series of events around the theme of 'Wine, beer and castles'.

Between dog and wolf, let's follow ancient sunken lanes steeped in history to reach a small mountain castle nestled in its green setting!
Etienne Brandt, mountain guide and storyteller, will take charge of the merry band and share the magic of the place with you.
At the foot of Birkenfels, a master brewer will be on hand to serve 3 local craft beers (with fruit juice for children), highlighting the know-how and quality of Alsace's hop growers. BBB uses only organic barley malts from traceable origins that have not crossed Europe.
This 4-hour contemplative walk is designed for adults and accompanied children aged 10 and over.
Walk for all levels, with tales, legends and stories of bygone days. Packed lunch.
