Les Noëlies - Concert by the Graz Singakademie - An Austrian Christmas
Description

For the past 22 years, Noëlies has been held during the four weeks preceding Christmas, and features a wide range of concerts given by internationally renowned professional ensembles, children's choirs from abroad, and amateur ensembles based in the region.
The Singakademie Graz (Austria) was founded in 1995 by Maria Fürntratt. The choir, made up of young boys and girls, likes to present itself as an ambassador of Austria to the world, performing both traditional and contemporary repertoire. For their concerts in Alsace, the young singers will be taking traditional carols with them: songs from the Tyrol, songs sung by shepherds, as well as the most beautiful carols from the Austrian Alps. Come and listen to Advent melodies played on the Styrian accordion, medieval processional songs, Anton Bruckner's famous "Ave Maria" or the original version of "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht".
With 37 singers under the direction of Maria Fürntratt.
