Family Show - How to Travel to the Moon by Sucking on a Lollipop
Description

Lunar Object Theater.
By the La Rouille Company.
Two descendants of the illustrious Georges Méliès have taken over the candy and toy stand that the genius filmmaker ran at the Montparnasse Train Station when his career was on the decline. The candy vendors will explain through words, music, and visual tricks how their ancestor got himself out of a tight spot by actually traveling to the moon (long before Armstrong and well after Cyrano de Bergerac) during a daring expedition, and how he regained his fortune thanks to that expedition and… a mint.
In less than an hour, the audience will travel the 380,000 km separating Earth from the Moon—there and back—and learn sleight-of-hand techniques, how to survive on a mint candy, optical illusions, dreamlike journeys, and that consent is definitely a must when dealing with the Selenites.
KIDS’ SNACK TIME: a free snack after the show!
Not for children under 8: This show is designed to be enjoyed by children ages 8 and up. To ensure the best viewing experience for all audience members, children’s ages will be checked at the entrance. Children under 8 may be denied entry to the theater.
