Movies - Play It Again Festival

Organized by the ADRC with support from the CNC, the Play It Again! festival is an annual national event dedicated to promoting heritage cinema in the regions.

A major celebration of cinema, Play It Again! is also an opportunity for sharing and exchange, featuring numerous events ranging from blind tests to film concerts, as well as meetings with experts and contemporary filmmakers.
Each year, numerous prominent figures come to meet with audiences: Alex Lutz, Jean-Jacques Annaud, Dominique Blanc, Michel Hazanavicius, Dominik Moll, Coline Serreau, Darius Khondji… these encounters offer a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of films that have left their mark on the history of cinema.
Held in over 200 theaters nationwide, Play It Again! is the only festival dedicated to film heritage that caters to all audiences: young and old, seasoned film buffs and curious newcomers, in small towns and major cities alike.

Marvel at the films, analyze the imagery, and gain a fresh perspective on the classics of yesteryear: that is the festival’s mission.

This year, your local cinema in Obernai is participating in this national event and is screening three classics:
- *The Name of the Rose* by Jean-Jacques Annaud (original version with subtitles) // Thursday, September 17 at 6:00 p.m.
- *Les Tontons Flingueurs* by Georges Lautner // Sunday, September 20 at 5:00 p.m.
- *Knock* by Guy Lefranc // Thursday, September 24 at 6:00 p.m.
